Church of England Meeting.

A GENERAL MEETING of the Clergy and ■ i^- Lay Office Bearers of the Archdeaconry of Waitemata, is appointed to be held at St. Paul's School, Auckland, on Monday, 13th of April, at two o'clock, to elect four members to the meeting of Assessors, appointed to be held on or about the Ist of May, for the revision of the Church Trust Deed, and to take measures for assembling a general convention of the Church of Eng.and in New Zealand. After the election of assessors, a Public Meeting will be held, open to all Members and iriends of the Church of England, for general discussion and information on the measures proposed fur the organization of the Church. Auckland Steam Navigation Company. npilE Directors, in pursuance of a resolution -*- come to by the Shareholders, on the 2nd inst , having sold the Company's property in the steamer William Denny, with a view to wind up the affairs of the Company, give notice that a first instalment on account of capital, of One Pound sterling per share, will be payable on and after Saturday, 11th inst., at the Company's Office. By order of the Directors, Geo. Duke, Secretary. Auckland, April 9, 1857.
