The Taranaki summer circuit which opened at New Plymouth ou Boxing Day will be continued at Stratford, where the local club opens its cup meeting on Mon-

day. Fields are large, and provision has been made to run the second Trial Stakes, Tariki Handicap and Railway Handicap in divisions: Several fresh horses who did not race at New Plymouth will add interest to tnc proceedings. The Stratford tr,ack is large and roomy, with an uphill straight, and favours horses who stay well.
