Class Fields At Addington

The Canterbury Park Trotting Club’s meeting will open today and conclude on .Monday. The fields are not as large as usual at Addington, but this fact will uot detract from the racing, which should be highly interesting. The principal race of the day, the Canterbury Handicap, has attracted a field of 10 of the best pacers, Including Integrity and Countless, who ran second and fourth ill the last New Zealand. Cup. On that form Integrity is the logical favourite, while Countless is sure of strong support. Joan Conquest is overdue, but her fourth to Pacing Power, Loyal Friend and Dusky Sound in the Premier Spring Championship suggests an early 'return to winning form.

Haughty is set a stiff task in the Au Revoir Handicap, but with anything like an even dispatch she will be in the thick of the fight over the last furlong.
