Po-Huka A Goo« le Domini* n Special Service PALMERSTON N., October 19. A large number of the Awapunl-trained horses who are engaged at the Trentham meeting left for that centre last evening. J. J. Waller took Golden Tide and Controller- C. J. Thomson, Vivid Night, Kaitoa and Alethea; A. McDonald, Theolateral, Hakim and Magic Art; and A. R. Beale, Anglo-Irish and Salmi., Those who leave tonight are L. Knapp with Po-Huka, Park Light and Duplicity; L. Pine with Sir Bradbury; C. Boyd with Classform; B. Burgess with Happy Ending and Saludos, and H. Griffith with Flying Ace. There was not a great deal of work at Awapunl this morning. The course proper was in excellent order and the flags. were about 20ft. out. Park Light ran five furlongs nicely In 1.7. Don -Mac and Our Pat were on terms at the end of six furlongs, run in 1.20 4-5. Flying Ape left six furlongs behind in 1.21. The two-year-olds, Duplicity and Pallas Athene, ran three furlongs in 38 2-5, with Duplicity doing the better. Broiefield ran the last three of seven furlongs in 41 3-5. Po-Huka and Bay Robe were responsible | for a good effort over a mile, returning 1.48 1-5, the last three furlongs in 41 l-o. Where followed them over seven furlongs in 1.39 1-5, the last three in 42 2-5. Phalaria ran three furlongs in 37. ■Sir Bradbury was not asked to gallop, going seven furlongs at three-quarter pace Saludos beat Choral Dance, who stopped nearing the post, over five furlongs in 1.7 2-5. Financial galloped six furlongs well in 1.20. On the plough, which has just -been done up, Toa-iti ran half a mile in 55 l-o. Classform Happy Ending were on terms at the end of a mile run in 1.49 3-o, the last three furlongs in 40. A. McDonald has had two two-year-olds added to his team. One is a gelding by Royal Chief from Wanaka, the dam of Prince Shad, the other is a chestnut filly by Theio from Duck’s Egg, the dam of Belle Cane.
