Musician And Soldier Both From New Zealand (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Special Correspondent.) , LONDON, August 28. Three days after he arrived in England bv ship Rom Italy, Major T. M. b. Dew, N.Z.E.F., Wanganui, who distinguished himself in the fighting at the Tebaqa Gap during the left-hook at Mareth, and later at Castelfrentano, was married to -Miss Cecilia KeaUng, Greymouth. who has made a name for herseu in England as an outstanding violinist. The ceremony was performed at bt. Thomas’s, Sevenoaks, Lent. The bride was given away by the New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr. Jordan. The bride’s sister, Miss Clare Keating, of the W.A.A.F., was bridesmaid. Many New Zealanders were present, including Lieut.Colonel L. F. Rudd, D.S.O. . The best man was Second-Lieutenant P. Kane,. Wellington, who is nn Major Dew’s company. Lieutenant said . ’‘Major Dew is a grand soldier. At Castelfrentano all his officers were killed, but he rendered excellent support to nis forward platoon. Though under heavy fire he carried on and maintained the position till he received support from the brigade. He was an inspiration to nis men, and one of the coolest chaps I nave ever seen under fire. Wc might hare lost that position without him.”
