ENEMY AGENTS IN INDIA
(By Telegraph —Press ASsn.—Copyright (Received August 27, 9.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 26. , A New Delhi message reports that it is officially announced that five persons were recently sentenced to death under the Enemy 'Agents’ Ordnance. They were members of a party landed in India by parachute with money and equipment including wireless and transmission sets A High Court judge reviewing cases commuted the death sentence passed on two from the United Provinces to transportation for life. He confirmed file oilier death sentences imposed on two persons from Punjab and one from Bengal. Four enemy agents whom the Japanese landed in India by submarine were executed last October, after which two more spies connected with the same party were also executed. They entered India by a different route.
