SPEEDY FINNISH PEACE MOVE

Swedish Prediction (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Received August 3, 10 p.m.) LONDON. August 3. Representatives of a Finnish peace party have arrived in Stockholm and have already made contact with Russian circles, says, the British United Press correspondent. Swedish newspapers predict a speedy Finnish peace move, but express misgivings regarding possible German counter-measures. The “Aftonbladet” says the German occupation of the Aaland Isles is probable as a result of a Finnish peace move. The Stockholm correspondent of “The Times” says that reliable reports indicate that the Germans are withdrawing their forces from south Finland, as they realize their inability to keep the Finns iu the war.

[The German forces in southern Finland were sent there by 'Hitler tinder agreement with the Finnish Government within the last two mouths.]
