Mr. Bolle has come to New Zealand from Sydney to discuss arrangements in the Dominion with Mr. E. L. Rutledge, managing-director of the corporation in New Zealand. The agreement makes available to British producers the facilities of the Fox ‘organization for distribution, said Mr. Bolle. Arthur Rank, the leading English producer, distributor and exhibitor, and Mr. Spyros Skouras, president of the Fox organization. Describing it as the most important deal yet made for the distribution and exhibition of British films in Australia and New Zealand, he said it formed part of a world-wide agreement. “When the time comes for the winning of the pence the screen must play as vital a part as it has done and is doing now to ’win the war,” Mr. Bolle said. “British and American film interests working in harmony and combining their mighty resources can provide an invaluable instrument for the making of better human relationship between the nations.”
