Observance In Dominion American Memorial Day*—the day on which United States citizens honour their servicemen who have died on active ser-vice-will be observed tomorrow, no mark the occasion appropriate ceremonies will be held, in Auckland and. Wellington. , The Wellington ceremony_ .will take place at the ’Wellington Citizens War Memorial at 12.30 p.m., when wreaths will be laid by consular officials, the Government, and the N.Z.R.S.A. At this ceremony short addresses will be given by Mr. Warren H. Atherton, National Commander of the American Legion, and Mr. B. J. Jacobs. Dominion president ot the N.Z.R.S.A. A short prayer will be offered* by Captain Peterson, U.S. Naval Chaplain. . , The official wreaths will be received by Mrs. Prescott Childs, on behalf of the mothers of America, and at 3 p.m. ad the wreaths and flowers will he taken out to Karori Cemetery, where they will be distributed on the graves of American servicemen by American women resident m We lington. , .
