NOTICE is given <:f u decision of the Goods Service Charges Tribunal in the undermentioned district operative from March 1, 1941 Description of the group of goods services affected by the decision is as lollows:- All goods-servlees carried ou in following district: — „ NO. 12 WAIROA: WAIROA COUNTY AND BOROUGH. , , , Extract from Tribunals Decision:— The Tribunal, after giving careful consideration to all relevant iactors, lias decided as follows: — GENERAL: (1) AV he re a charge tor extra labour is fixed at not less than o/b hour, the rate shall not be increased; but where a lower labour charge is fixed It is to be increased to 3/6 au hour. (4) AX here reference is made in any schedule to the Licensing Authority as the rate-fixing authority, the reference is to be deemed to be to the Tribunal (5) Where, owing to the uneven graduation of charges in auy mileage -scale, a lower rate would appear to be payable for any specified distance than for a shorter distance, the rate payable is to bo the higher rate. (6) AVhere special penalty rates are provided, e.g.. in the case of absence of facilities for loading pigs. wool, etc.’, such rates shall not be ‘increased. (7) AVhere a schedule makes _ no provision for contracts -beingr entered into between operators and' dairy factory companies. bobby-calf. pig and other stock pools and timber millers, such contracts roav be entered into subject to the charges being fixed or approved by the Tribunal. (S) Nothing in this decision shall .apply to or affect any charges payable under contracts for the caniage of goods at rates other than schedule rates. (9) Ibis decision shall come into force and be operative on and from The first day of March, 1944; and the schedule charges in respect of which percentage increases are herein authorized are declared to be the respective schedule charges as prescribed and in force on the fifteenth day of December, 1942. The said schedule charges, subject to the amendments herein authorized, are hereby confirmed The schedule charges shall be increased bv a percentage to be announced later.
