A Bad Buy.
A second-hand dealer attending an auction sale in Christchurch recently did not display his accustomed shrewdness. He secured, after keen bidding, six pairs of shoes, but it was not till the sale was over that he noticed that all the right shoes were built up two or three inches. They had been made for a man with one leg shorter than the other.
