Madam Feng Wang Presents Awards

The NVelliugton Braille Club's Christmas party yesterday afternoon was com; billed with the annual presentation ot certificates, the awards being presented by Madam Feng Wang. wife of the ConsulGeneral for China. Club.members brought the profusion of flowers that decorated the tables and provided and served afternoon tea following an enjoyable programme. The party was for the civilian blind of NVelliugton, their relatives and friends, and included representatives of the Red Cross Society and the Blind Social Club. Mrs. S. Israel, president, was in the chair. The successful students were Mrs. NV. M. Barr, Mrs. L. M. Bradley, the Ven. Archdeacon NV. Bullock, Mrs. J. B. Carpenter, Mr. D. NV. Davidson. Mrs A. J. Glenn, Mrs. 13. H. IL Green Mrs. D. NVilliams, Miss G. E O’Brien Ihe musical items were provided by Mr Harold Whittle, Miss D. Downing, Mr Robert NVilson, Miss Ena Rapley, Miss Bennett, Mr. C. Daubolt. A blind member of the elub. Miss Edna Brooker, was presented with a small cheque on the occasion of her approaching marriage. The afternoon, concluded with a community sing aud the Natioual Anthem. ■ ,
