The statement which has been issued by the Royal Yugoslav Government attacking the decision of a Yugoslav assembly’ to form a provisional Government inside the country further widens the gap between the supporters of King Peter and General Mikhailovich on one hand and General Tito on the other, says the “New York Times” correspondent in Cairo; One of the war's greatest mysteries was solved when it was learned what had been long suspected—that Tito is the Croatian peasant and worker Josip Broz, and his election as President of the Yugoslav National Committee of Liberation complicates the position for the allies of Yugoslavia. All the Allies, -including the big three have diplomatic relations with King Peter’s exiled’ Government in Cairo, and the question now is whether the Allies should formally recognize General Tito as he demands.

The new . provisional "Parliament” for Yugoslav territory, which . has appointed the commander-in-chief. General Tito, head of the committee of liberation, promoting him to marshal also elected Hr. Ivan Bibar first -President of the provisional Government.
