BELGIUM WATCHING

Deportation Of Workers (Received September 23, 7.30 p.m.) RUGBY, September 22. The Belgian Prime Minister, M. Pierlot, broadcasting in London, said that Belgium was following closely measures by the Germans, with the collaboration of a few traitors, to extend the deportation of Belgians. To justify the deportation, the enemy pleaded the necessity of war, thus admitting his weakness as. well as his crime against the international Jaw to which Germany subscribe. “He admits that his forces alone are not strong enough to carry on the struggle.” added M. Picrlot. “The day approaches when Germany will realize the folly of transporting to her own territory millions from invaded countries who will be most active in bringing about a collapse of the German home front.”
