Proof of the part that members of the Royal New Zealand Air Force overseas are taking iu the “battle of the Ruhr, is given in the latest awards of the Distinguished Flying Medal to each of eight New Zealand aircrew n.e.o.’a serving in the United Kingdom. The work of these newly-decorated men, five ot whom have since been commissioned, includes bombin- raids on Berlin. Frankfurt, Bremen, and other “popular” bomb-dropping centres and as far afield as Christiansund. Some of the recipients also served in tor-pedo-carrying aircraft.
