New Zealand’s Part Emphasized
(Bv Telegraph.—Press Association.) PALMERSTON N., June 23. The part the Dominion must play m food production now and after the war was emphasized by the Minister of .Finance, Mr. Nash, addressing the National Dairy Conference. He said New Zealand should not send any more men overseas, except replacements, but should concentrate on producing every pound of food she could. , ~. Mr. Nash spoke of the work of the Food Conference at Hot Springs, U.S.A., stating that a permanent world organization was needed to see that those needing food got it. At present not enough food was produced for world requirements. There might be a good case for New Zealand to go without, in order to allow starving nations to benefit for a while from the Dominion’s production.
