One of the finest properties in the Waitakere Kanges, consisting of nine acres and a large house formerly owned by the late Sir George Fowlds, has been purchased by the Auckland Baptist Tabernacle for the use of young church members. Fine panoramic views of the city and harbours are obtained from the property, which will lie used for camps, retreats, picnics and other purposes. Its purchase marks a new era in church work among young people. The first camp will be at Easter for about 60 women. On tlie property are six acres of -bush, V'here a scenic park could be formed, with a swimming pool in the midst. Features ot the house include a large lounge and tower room.
