“A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM”
The Thespians will stage “A Midsummer Night's Dream” for the last two pt'o(luetions this afternoon and tonight. A well-knowi) Wellington cast appears in this colourful performance of Shakespeare’s mingling of coined}’ ami fantasy. Full details are advertised. Naturally tlie beauty of this comedy could not be fully realized in an amateur performance on the tiny stage of the Concert Chamber. 'Those who remember the Idnglish Shakespearean company brought to Illis’ country a quarter of a century ago or more by the late George Musgrove will have vivid memories of "The Dream” at its loveliest. Nevertheless, something of its magic was conveyed by the Thespians in their ingenious jiresentation of the comedy. They deserve praise for tlie very simplicity in which they contrived to suggest that which was not there, for the all-round glibness of the players, and for the evident joy they took in acting this merry interlude.
