Store sheep rose iu value at. the Addington market today, two-tooths and aged sheen appreciating up to 1/6 a head, lat sheep were also 1/- a head dearer. Fat cattle were a shade eas.er, mainly because of tlie bigger yarding. The demand in tile store sheep section was very good, tlm best price for two-tooths being 40/-, other lines from the same source running from 36/6 to 39/9. Halfbred two-tooths made 18/9 to 23/-. Top price for aged ewes was 28/-. medium to good making to 17'6, and Inferior from 8/- to 11/-. Wethers sold well to a top price of 25/9. Store lambs sold well, wethers at up to ”1/1, ami ewe lambs 22/3 to 22/9. Best rape lambs made to 19'6, and medium to good 11 6 to 16/3. For heavy wethers prices showed a rise of about I/- a head. Values of freezing ewes were unchanged. Butchers’ ewes were in keen demand, prices belug up by fully I/- a head. Young ewes were keenly sought after.

Wethers sold at 25/- to 33/10, eweg 16/to 28/-, and export ewes 13/- to lb/-. ±at lambs sold on a par with last week, good quality being in keen demand, exporters buying at from 23/9 to 26/-, and butchers at 27/0 to 35/-. The best price of the sale was 36/7 for eight of a line of &0 which averaged 31/3. , , A big entry of lac cattle was reflected in a slight easing of prices. Steers soid from £lO/15/- to £l9/7/6, heifers from £6/5/- to £ll/10/-, and cows from £3 10/- to £lO/5/-. In the fat pig section, the porker entry was the largest for months. Values showed an easing. Choppers were unchanged and inferior baconers were down 2/- to 3/- n head. Choppers sold to £4/13/6, porkers from 43/6 to £3/6/6 (average per lb. 7d. to Sid.) ; baconers, £3/2/6 to £3 8/6 (average 6Jd. to 7*d.).
