BEDSIDE EVIDENCE
Wife Who Was Stabbed (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, January 20. Further evidence was taken at tlie bedside of a woman who was stabbed at Otahuliu on January 14 at a si>eciai sitting of the Police Court at the hospital. Accused was William Weir, labourer, aged 20, who was charged with the attempted murder of his wife, Phyllis Rose Weir, aged 26. MrsWeir's evidence was taken at a sitting on Thursday. Today’s proceedings consisted of cross-examination of the witness. In answer to a question by the prosecutor, she denied she hail e\er been on intimate terms with a man before she married accused. Accused was remanded to appear on Monday. ______
