SOLDIERS’ TEA AT Y.M.C.A.

Members of the ladies’ auxiliary of the Y.M.C.A. boys’ division were hostesses at the soldiers’ tea-- at the Y.M.O.A. last evening, with the president, Mrs. H. E. Brooker. The chairman was Squadron Leader Manhire, who was accompanied by Mrs. Manhire. Associated with the chairman were Captain Blanchard and Mr. H. 0. South. The birthday cake for November was donated by Mr| South, and was a feature at the tea yesterday. Songs were given by Mesdameg Pyle and L. Jones, au'd Private Kerr. Ser-geant-Major Barton played the pianoaccordion, also a boy, R. Moug, and Private Kay, gave’- a cornet solo, the accompanists being Mrs. Wakelip and Sergeant-Major Barton. The song leader was ,Mr. H. Brooker. The usual minute’s silent prayer was observed. Representatives of the Navy and Air Force thanked all concerned for the evening’s enjoyment.
