ik feature of the weekend entertainment at Webby’s Club was the special welcome to men of the forces vi|ltin= Wellington. The engagements of tivo members were announced, one w a member of the Air Force, other to a returned member of the 11 Echelon, 2nd N.Z.E.F. Large crowds W The P usual variety of entertainment was provided, and this, together wi the delicious home-made ® u P) )er ®- the excellent music, ensured the guests enjoyment. Quantities of flowers were received, from anonymous donprs. The club’s energetic secretary, Miso-June Sinel, and the girls, of the committee, always attend to see that all .members of the forces are made welcome. Congratulationg were extended to the girls for their successful stall on the appeal day for the R.S.A. The girls are preparing for their iirst birthday, which will extend over December 5, 6 and 7. A large birthday cake has been sent from Mrs. E. Hill, Bay of Plenty, and two other cakes have already been donated, and the donors will be thanked during the birthday weekend.
