SERVICE CLUBS

Busy Members At Webby’s Men of the fighting services were present in large numbers at Webby’s Club during the weekend, tbe/nembers as usual ensuring that their guests had an enjoyable evening’s entertainment. The Merchant Navy was also represented, and all entered into the fun of the evening. In the absence, through illness, of the vice-president, Mrs. Toope, Miss Aileen Stevens supervized all supper arrangements, delicious food as usual being sent in by those women who take such an interest in Webby’s Club. Sunday was an exceptionally busy day, a savoury tea being served by the energetic secretary, and the girls. A mother of one of the men who had been a frequent visitor to the club called and presented members with a large donation of cakes in appreciation of all that had been done for her son.
