I lolly wood’s contribution is "Bringing Up Baby.” starring Katharine Hepburn, whose lamp of popularity was- rekindled witli “Tlie Philadelphia Story." anil Cary Grant, who must today hold pride of place for his work as a polished comedy star.
“Bringing Up Baby” mostly revolves round the antics of the stars and a baby leopard which upsets even May Robson’s composure. Miss Hepburn is a crazy socialite (she plays that kind of part well), while Cary Grant is a professor who is much more interested in prehistoric skeletons than lie is in skeletons covered with well-bathed flesh and Paris gowns. Britain's contribution is Band ■Wagon.” starring Arthur Askey, of radio and music hall fame. The popular little comedian is surrounded by his. usual cronies with Jack Hylton and bis Band thrown in for good measure. A musical number to listen for is “Heaven Will Be Heaven he®-"
