EVACUATION OF SCHOOL CHILDREN

Members of the Wellington College Board of Governors, al a recent meeting, gave approval to a report prepared by the E.P.S. organization dealing with the evacuation, in the event of an emergency, of children in every school in the Wellington area. The hope was expressed that it would be put into effect as soon as possible. “The war lias been going on lor two years,” remarked one member, “(tnd it is about time something was done.” It was pointed out that the proposed scheme had to receive the sanction of the Government. as it involved the expenditure of money in some instances, and the hoard could not*go ahead on its own account with arrangements for the colleges under its control.
