ANNUAL MEETING
Eastbourne League Of Mothers Officers elected at the annual meet-, ing of the Eastbourne branch of the League of Mothers are as follows: — President, Mrs. S. Shearer; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames Wise, Wilcox, Stew art,'Martin and Hili'; secretary, Mrs. H. Miller; treasurer, Mrs. L. Cheeseman. Fifteen committee members were also elected. Dr. John Laird gave an address on the sanctity of marriage. Mrs. Shearer presided at the September meeting. Miss Inglis gave an address on? home nursing as' it bears on the child. .Two children’s plays by members of the Junior Drama League were greatly enjoyed, and special thanks were given to Madame Bligh. who brought a group of children from Ha taitai, and to Miss Mather, who was responsible for the play produced by the Eastbourne group.
