The Plimuierton club wrote, stating (hut their ground was under water on Saturday last, and the referee declared it unfit for the match against Poriruu. It was impossible then to get transport tor the mutch to be transferred to the Porirua ground. *■* . u The Porirua club wrote, stating that it had invited the Plimuierton team to play the mutch on the Porirua ground, and had offered to supply transport. The referee was agreeable tu this, but rhe urncials of the Plimuierton club had turned the offer down. The Porirua club suggested that if the match were played later it should be played on a city ground.. It was decided that the match should be played later if it has any bearing on the championship. The New Zealand union wrote, stating that an application had been received from the Wanganui union for two grants, each of £25, for two primary schools tournaments to bq held at Marton aud Wanganui. It was noticed that teams from Wellington were included in both tournaments, Hutt Valley in the one at Marton, and a Wellington team in the one at Wanganui. It was thought by Ibe New Zealand committee that if Wellington and Hutt Valley teams were included in the one tournament this would leave a vacancy, in the other tournament for another team to be entered. It was decided to reply that it was too late-to make any alteration this year. It was decided that the Wellington team which is to play Hawke's Bay at Napier on August 16 should leave Wellington by special train at 11.30 the night before the match, and return to Wellington by special train the day after the match.
