\u enjoyable concert was presented in the National Art Gallery yesterday afternoon. under Hie auspices ot the N<'W Zealand Academy of Fine Arts. Iher? was a large attendance, including the Governor-General. Sir Cyril Newall. and Lndv Newall, Sir Evelyn and Lady Wrench. Miss Waltmi and Sirr Harry Batterbee. Madanic Botts-Vincent gave a descriptive talk before each item. She played variations by Mendelssohn and other items. Miss Hilda Chudley sang “The Snowdrop” by Craxton. "A M oma’t s Last Word”'by Bantock, 'Twilight Fancies" i.y Delius, "Sunday” ,by Brahins, "Come Mary Take Comfort” hv Hugo Wolf, mid "The Swan" hv Grieg.
