LORD BEAVERBROOK’S NEW DUTIES
LONDON, May 13.
The Prime Minister today told the House of Commons of Lord Beaverbrook’s new duties as Minister of State. He said Lord Beaverbrook would carry out general Cabinet duties and any special duties assigned to members of the Defence Committee of the War Cabinet. He would also act as deputy chairman of the supply section of tin* Defence Committee.
SERVICE WITH R.A.F.
LONDON, May 13.
The Air Ministry announced that by agreement with the Ministry of Labour skilled men in certain electrical and mechanical trades, who have hitherto been reserved, may now volunteer for service with the R.A.F. Men of all ages from 18 to 50 are included in the concession.
The Under-Secretary for Air. Mr. Balfour, stated in the House of Commons that it was the Government’s intention to publish from time to time such information as circumstances allow regarding the losses inflicted on the Focke Wulf aircraft which raid British shipping
