COLLECTION OF WASTE MATERIAL
The defence forces need clean, soft, absorbent material suitable for cleaning planes and machinery, and the Wellington Girl Guides are going to do their bit to obtain it for them, today and next Saturday. By authority of the National Council for Reclamation of Waste Material they will call on householders for parcels of the material, and the householders are asked to have their parcels ready. Today Wellington South and East the east side of tlie harbour, and part of the Hutt Valley will be canvassed.
