DURING the parade of Troops through the City this morning, the 29th instant, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the following streets will be closed to traffic: — Bunny Street (between Featherston Street and Waterloo Quay), from 9.45 a.m. to 10.45 a.m. Waterloo Quay (between Lyttelton Ferry Wharf and Hinemoa Street), from 0.15 a.m. to 11.30 aan., as required. Between 9.45 a.m. and 10.45 a.m. traffic to and from the Station will be directed to the Featherston Street entrance. Generally cars can be parked only where directed by Traffic Inspectors. The Troops will march via the following route: —Waterloo Quay, Bunny Street, Lambton Quay, Willis Street, Mercer Street, Customhouse Quay, Jervois Quay, Waterloo Quay, and during the progress of the parade cars must not be parked in these streets. TTNDER AUTHORITY delegated to me '-4 by provisions of the above Regulations, and by direction of the Dominion Lighting Controller, I give notice — 1. That proprietors of Gaseous Discharge tubing and incandescent advertising signs or other illuminations situated on buildings which can emit either direct or reflected light are forthwith to disconnect such lighting. 2. That under-verandah lighting.wlnch is deemed to contribute materially toward reflection from the street surface is to be either reduced in wattage, screened from the street, or shrouded in such a way as to eliminate reflections from the street. 3. That where the local Lighting. Controller considers that shop window light, either due to its position or its intensity, is contravening the Regulations. such steps as are directed by the Controller are at once to be taken to make the necessary alterations - . , , 4; That the owners or occupiers of buildings, whether shops, factories, houses, or any other form of building winch have wnWows facing the open sea, are nt once to take steps which will make it impossible for a light burning behind such windows to be visible trom the open sea; and further, that all outdoor lights on private property, or road advertising signs, are to be cither removed’or so screened that neither direct nor reflected light trom them will be visible from the open sea. 5.
