OPERA HOUSE

A timely international film drama of Nazi terrorism and intrigue, “Night Train to Munich” was released yesterday at the Opera House. Though in some sequences it must of necessity take its theme seriously, “Night Train to Munich” is punctuated throughout with refreshing humour, introduced mainly by the Basil Radford-Naughton Wayne team that enlivened the proceedings in “The Lady Vanishes.” The co-stars are Margaret Lockwood and Rex Harrison, while heading the supporting cast are Paul von Hernreid and James Harcourt.

Probably the most memorable episodes take place in a Nazi concentration camp. The fear and dispair of the inmates is portrayed so sensitively that theatre audiences cannot but feel rather terrified.
