KIWI ATHLETIC CLUB
The Kiwi Amateur Athletic Club hold the final events in its club competitions on Wednesday evening under poor conditions. The results are:— Discus, senior handicap: Hyde, 1: Robinson, 2; Bacon. 3. St) metres hurdles handicap, women: Z. Walshe, 1: C. Hunter, 2. 120yds. hurdles handicap: Fox, 1; Fletcher, 2: Bacon, 3. The 1940-41 season trophy winners are :— Everlss Shield (most points): Deadmarsh (lOJ). 1: Fox (71), 2; Bacon (7), 3. Hugo Rose Bowl (women): C. Hunter (15). 1; N’. Alltill (8), 2: Z. Walshe (5), 3. Hugo Yases (senior): Bacon (7). 1: Fox (6), 2; Todd (2), 3.. President's prize (junior): Deadmarsh (20), 1: Watson (8), 2; Quaid (5). 3. President’s prize (women): Z. Walshe (11). 1: C. Hunter (9). 2; D. Antill (3). 3. ■Reynolds Cup (distance): Parkin and Flanagan (7). 1, eqttpl: Hay (4), 3. Mayer Cup (field events): Fox (36), 1; Annals (25), 2: C. Hunter (22), 3. Bond Cup (open); C. Hunter (554), I', Fox (54), 2: z. Walshe (27), 3. The club also retained the O’Leary Trophy (Marlborough v. Kiwi), the Heenan Boomerang (junior relay) and (lie Kitto Shield (parades). In retaining the Kitto Shield the Kiwi club has constituted something of a record in that it lias held this trophy for 10 years in succession front the limo of its inception in 1932. All the trophies will be presented to the winners at rhe club's annual dance, which is to be held at the Wellington Rowing Club hall on March 15. Next Wednesday-evening the club proposes holding a relay evening to finish off the season.
