CARNIVAL CLOSES SURF SEASON
A successful carnival which brought to a close the Wellington Surf Association s season was held at Worser Bay in tierfeet weather. A large crowd watched the keenly contested events. Hesults are as follows Junior six-man championship: Maranui. 73.04 points. 1: Worser Bay, 70.10. 2; Island Bay. 68.62. 3. Junior four-man championship: Maranui A. 63.41 points. 1; Worser Bay, 61.52, 2; Island Bay. 50.37. 3. Novice Cup: Maranui. 6(1.90 points, 1: Island Bav, 61.24. 2; Worser Bay, 60. 3 Bacon Cup: Maranui, 01 points. 1: Lyall Bay, 28. 2; Worser Bay, 26, 3. Other results, points for which counted in total for the Bacon Cup, are:—Beach licit race; Worser Bay, 1; Maranui, -I Lyall Bay, 3.
