CHKISTOHUROTI, March 5. Entries were slightly larger than usual at today’s Addington market Generally there was little change m valuer, except for fat sheep, which were easier. Store sheep and Jambs numbered about 14 000 head Forward lambs sold 1111“ed making up to 18/6, but those for earrvinff over *\vere down by 1/* d heaif Yhe 9000 ewes included m the store entry all met buyers, though a considerable proportion was of very ordinary, standard. Best R.omney cro . ss = . e^ f up to 37/9, for two-tooths. best halfbreds of corresponding class selling at -4/- to 9R/6 Four-year dpen-woolled sheep made to £6/9 for southern Marlborough ewes. Most of the better fine-wool sheep of this age ranged from 11/- to 12/6, and strong W, riie fa/sheep entry numbered 5000, with a few wethers and generally an indiften ent class of ewe. Wethers were easier by 1/- a head and ewes by 1/6. A few ewes were bought by ex P or ters at under schedule. Best wethers made 26/- to 30/-, tops to 33/-, and medium 23/- to -6/ . A few lines of ewes made over J>/-, being to 25/6, but practically the vlioleof the entry ranged from 18/- downward. Fat cattle numbered 454 and the entry was ofie of the poorest of the .season. Good cattle as a result sold at a rise M about 10/-. a head, all other sorts being slightly easier. Best beef made from .>7/to 40/- a hundred pounds, with a few special pens to 42/-. Best steers realized £l4 to £l7, tops to £l9. and medium to good steers £ll to £l3/10/-.
