Extra choice ox beef made to 39/- a hundred pounds, choice and prime 35/- to 38/-, secondary and plain 32/- to 34/-; extra prime cow and heifer beef 30/- to 34/-, choice and prime 27/- to 29/-, ordinary 22/- to -6/-. Extra heavy prime steers sold for £I4I to £l5, heavy £l3 to £l3/10/-, medium £l- - £l2/15/-, light £ll to £ll/10/-, small and unfinished £6/10/- to £lO/10/- : “jR! 1 . hoaw crime young cows and heifeis £lv to £l3, heavy £7/10/- to £B/15/-, lighter £6/10/- to £7, others £o to £6. Bidding was slack for an average pig entry and all' values were easier. Choppers sold for £3 to £5/10/-; heavy baconers £4/11/- to £4/15/-, medium £4/2/- to £4 6/-, light £3/13/- to £3/18/-: heavy porkers £2/18/- to £3/2/-,- medium £2/H/to £2/13/-, light £2 to £2/4/-, small and unfinished £l/6/- to £l/17/-; stores £1 g/_ to £l/8/-; slips 10/- to 17/-; weaners competition was' steady, values for a large yarding of sheep were easier, specially for wethers. Extra heavy prime wethers realized 27/- to 28/6, heavy 20/ to 26/6, medium 23/- to 24/b, light 21/0 to 22/6, plain and unfinished 19/- to 2V-, extra heavy prime young and maiden ewes 19/- to 22/9, heavy 10/- to 18/-, lighter 12/- to 14/-, plain and aged 9/to 10/6, others 2/- to'7/6. An average entry of lambs sold well at ruling quotations. Extra heavy prime lantbs brought 26/6 to 27/6, heavy -o/- to ’G/-, medium 23/6 to 24/6, lighter 21/6 to 00/6 light 20/- to 21/-, small and plain 18/-* to 19/6, cull 10/- to 12/6.
