Italians In Dodecanese Suffer

According to 25 Greek escapees from Kalynmos, the R.A.F. has so battered the bases in the Dodecanese Islands that Italian air activity has practically been brought to a standstill. The airport on Kus island has been particularly severely damaged and there have been heavy casualties among the personnel. Famine is widespread throughout I he Dodecanese. Hive to 10 deaths from starvation are reported daily. Italian soldiers in the outlying islands are alleged to be urging the local Greeks to revolt in order to hasten an Allied occupation.
