DAMAGES AWARDED

General damages of £lOO and special damages of £l4O/10/6 were awarded by a jury of four in the Supreme Court, Wellington, before tlie Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) yesterday afternoon to Basil Robert Blackball, garage hand and painter, in a claim against the Fletcher Construction Co., Ltd., for damages for injuries received iu Taranaki Street, Wellington, on July 26, 1939, when he was slrticK by a motorlorry owned by the defendani company.
