(Received February 9, 7.5 p.m. I CAPE 'TOWN. February 8. Dr. Malan’s no-contidence motion in the Assembly was defeated by 78 voles to 59. Fifteen policemen were charged in the police court at Johannesburg with public violence as a sequel to the riots on February 2. They were remanded.
