WEDDING
King—Owen
The wedding took place on Saturday at All Saints’ Church, Nelson, of Gladys Louvain, eldest, daughter of-Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Owen, Haven Road. Nelson, and George Patrick, youngest, son of Mrs. A. T. and the late Mr. C. M. King. Wellington. The ceremony was performed by Archdeacon Kimberley. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a charming gown of pink satin-finished taffeta. Her pink tulle veil was hold in place by a halo and sprays of orange blossoms, and she carried a bouquet of pink flowers. On leaving the church she was presented with a silver horseshoe by her niece, Margaret Inwood. The bride was attended by her only sister. Audrey, who was dressed'in apple green taffeta, trimmed with lavender. She wore a halo of apple green with a lavender stiffened net veil falling to tho shoulders. She also carried a bouquet of lavender flowers. Mr. W. Livingston. Wangantfi, was best man.
The reception was held at the residence of Mr. S. Inwood. The mother of the bride received the guests wearing a navy pin-striped costume. Mrs. S. Inwood assisted, wearing a black floral frock. Both wore shoulder sprays of pink belladonna lilies. The bride travelled in a light floral linen frock with accessories to match. Air. and Mrs. G. P. King will make their home in Fordcll.
