Hit By Drifter In North Sea (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. December 13. ' When His Majesty’s drifter Evening Primrose was attacked by an aireratt in the North Sea yesterday, states an Admiralty communique, she retaliated immediately and effectively with her anti-aircraft armament. The enemy was seen to bo hit and' set on lire. Visiirility on the surface was so low that the enemy aircraft was not seen to crash into tlie water, but almost immediately after being set on fire the aircraft disappeared in the mist and a crash and explosion were heard from the direction in which the bomber had been flying. In the circumstances it is considered certain that the Evening Primrose accounted for the attacker. No damage or casualties were sustained by the Evening Primrose.
