Senior Pairs At Petone
Good water conditions at Petone on Saturday enabled the Petone Club to hold its second club race of the reason, the senior pairs. cr competed. In the first heat L. Boswell (str.), and C. Clark (bow), had a comfortable win by 10 lengths from P. A. Abbott (str.) and K. Jonassen (bow . D McDonald (str.) and E. Linney (bow) had a bye. In the final, Boswell and Clark again rowed well to win by two lengths. . . , The Petone club’s junior fours race was postponed Till next Saturday. At the Wellington end of the harbour the water was too rough for rowing. Members of the Star club spent the afternoon overhauling their plant, and there was similar activity in the Wellington club, where the selected boys from the Wellington Technical College, most .of whom are showing considerable promise, were given further coaching.
