Quota For Hastings Zone

Increased

Dominion Special Service.

HASTINGS. October 26.

Tlie contribution which the Hastings Patriotic Zone will have to make to the £1 (100 000 appeal has been increased from £l2 000 to £15,000. but this is compensated bv the fact that its area has been increased. The Hawke's Bay County Zone having gone out of existence, the Hastings zone will embrace the area south of the Ngaruroro River, out to the coast, and then in a straight line from tbe "oast to the top of To Aute Hill and beyond to the ranges. On a population basis Hastings, instead of having to find 24 per cent, ot the allocation to the Hawkes Bay Patriotic Council's allocation, will now have to hud 30 per cent.
