WIN FOR NEW ZEALANDERS (From the Official War Correspondent with the New Zealand Expeditionary Force in Britain.) LONDON, August 2-1. Playing through an air raid warning under the protection of Hurricanes circling overhead, tlie New Zealand Expeditionary Force limit an Australian Imperial Force team by 66 runs in a one innings match. New Zealand scored 135 ('Wareham 50, Tindill 23, Betts In. Copeland 14). Australia scored 69 (Gillespie, . South Canterbury, took three wickets for 6 runs; Barker, Taranaki, two for 12). The Australians included two interstate and several other metropolitan first-grade players. A return match is being arranged.
