The quality of the hoggets was high, showing the effects of a mild winter. The market for all classes of store sheep was easier by 1/- to 1/6 a head on, the rates at the previous week's sale, but a good clearance was effected at auction at very satisfactory prices to vendors. A heavy yarding of good quality fat sheep was submitted, and a sound market was in evidence at rates approximately on a par with those ruling at last weeks fixture. , p ~ A full yarding of station cattle of all classes came forward, with one or two pens of grown cattle, for which the demand was particularly keen. Extra prime heavv cows and heifers sold up to as high as £l2. The usual offering of boner cows and yearling Jersey heiiers came to hand. The heifers again met with keen competition, the top price being £6/10/- for a line of choice yearling Jerseys.
