AFTER NINE YEARS . . .

THE G.V.B. IS STILL ON TOP!

It has been demonstrated conclusively that few, if any, Milking Machine Companies can reflect such astonishing progress as the G.V.B.— the progressive organization which trades as. The Gordon Vacuum Break Milkers Ltd., with Head Office in Albert Street, Auckland. $ $ $ ' For nine years the Company has been consistently serving the dairyfarmer. In the building up of a progressive sales record, the constant aim has been to establish a solid and constructive basis of goodwill with the farming community. In the main, this lias been achieved as much by the high standard of G.V.B. performance as by the outstanding degree of practical service so freely available to G.V.B. clients. The Company’s progress over the past few years is the best evidence to justify the claim that the farmer can still look to the G.V.B. with confidence. Today, as in the earlier years of development, the Company stands for nothing but the most efficient and unrivalled service.

From a very small beginning, the' G.V.B. has become an all-New Zealand concern, with branches and subagencies distributed systematically, so that the sales and service organization extends through this network from the Far North to the rich dairying territory of Otago and Southland. Everywhere the G.V.B. is widely and favourably’ known, and each succeeding season sees more and more satisfied users, including owners of some of .the best-known pedigree herds in the. Dominion.

In the drive for more production, the G.V.B. plays an important part. “The Heart of the G.V.8.” (shown above) is perhaps the most integral portion of the complete milking plant. This gives a natural lead to some explanation of the basic principle of the machine. Actually’ this is determined on tlic most simple and common-sense grounds. In effect, the action of the milker is controlled so that there is a periodic and definite “break,” to represent as near as possible the suck of the calf. In other words, the cow is induced to give her milk under virtually the same conditions as Dame Nature intended, without any suggestion of forcing and consequent strain on the animal’s system. Thus, it has been demonstrated, and clearly, that the installation of rhe G.V.B. may be regarded as the first step towards the creation of a healthy and contented herd. Facts and figures beyond dispute are available to show that in herds milked constantly by the G.V.B. process, the percentage of hard quarters and kindred ailments is comparatively small. More production, and a healthy herd that will produce the most bear a very close relationship. i * * There is a G.V.B. unit to suit every herd, from the smallest to the largest. To say that the G.V.B. represents the easiest and surest method to make good cows milk better, under the most ideal conditions imaginable, is to state a plain fact that no one associated with the Company’s operations requires to over-emphasize. Follow NATURE—with the G.V.8.! ... It is a slogan of wide usage that has much to commend it.
