Improving Accommodation

Information as to how soon a start would be made on the new accommodation and other conveniences for troops proposed to be carried out at Palmer Head, was sought by Mr. Barnard (Democratic Labour, Napier), in notice of a question to the Minister of Defence, Mr. Jones, given on his behalf by Mr. Lee (Democratic Labour, Grey Lynn). The present housing and conditions at Palmer Head( due to improvisation for war purposes, still left much to bo desired, Mr. Barnard said.
