SPANIARDS IN FOREIGN LEGION
Refusal To Return To France
LONDON, August 21.
Colonel Wedgwood revealed in the House of Commons that a large number of Spanish members of the French Foreign Legion mutinied at a British port of embarkation and refused to return to France. Later they were permitted to join the British Military Pioneer Corps. Some of them will become instructors.
