Hours of work, wajres, and annual holidays were the main provisions on which agreement had not been reached when the conciliation council which had been dealing with tlie Northern and Westland gold mines employees’ dispute evncludeil its sitting in Wellington yesterday. The outh-tiinding questions will be brought before the Court of Arbitration today. Mr. W. Bice. Waihi, is advocate for the workers, and Mr. 11. J. Bishop is advocate for the employers. Yesterday tlie Court of Arbitration was engaged in hearing the Otago and Southland metal trades assistants’ dispute, the main questions for determination being those connected with employment in ships and freezing works, and holidays.
