New Zealand Pairs Title To Wanganui
Sixty-two pairs competed for the New Zealand contract bridge pairs championship, and the six pairs which finished in the leading positions are:—Dr. F. C. Hutchison and Mr. F. J. Jacobs, Wanganui, 1; Messrs. B. O. Bell and A. N. Lamb, Auckland, 2; Dr. Bruce Mackenzie and Mr. N. Mitchell, Auckland, 3: Mr. and Mrs. 11. IL Young, Wellington, 4j Mrs. Black and Mr. G. B. P. Wilson, ’Dunedin, 5; Messrs. L. Stohr and W. B. Rainey, Wellington, 6. The tournament was played over four sessions, and 84 hands. The present holders of the New Zealand pairs championship cup are Mr. and Mrs. H. 11. Young,- 'Wellington, and this cup will now be held by the Wanganui club for the ensuing year.
